Yellow dock clam soup
This soup looks very classy and it's very tasty. The mild lemony flavor from the Yellow dock leaves and the clams make a wonderful combination.
Make sure to use young leaves for the best flavor. Ingredients 1 large onion 4 tbs butter or margarine 1 cups young dock leaves, shredded 1/2 cup canned clams 2 cups milk Pepper Directions Boil the dock leaves for about 5 minutes and drain. Brown onion in butter or margarine. Add dock leaves to pan and stir for several minutes until leaves are wilted. Add clams and milk. Bring to a slow simmer for about 1 minute. Dust with pepper. Serves 4 or 2 big servings |
